misadventures in cooking

We invited The Camps over for a pizza party. I put my bread maker to use and plopped all of the ingredients in the pan, set it to dough, and pressed start. 1.5 hours later it hadn't changed... I quickly realized I had forgotten to put the beater piece IN the pan too!! Emily attempted to salvage it by placing the cutting board on the warmed by the oven stove and didn't realize I had left a burner on and so there is a lovely spiral melted into my cutting board. HA!
So, we ordered dominoe's instead!

Halloween!

I have been thinking about halloween costumes and what we should dress Micah up as.

Life is so good at the moment.

It's amazing to me how God provides. I had interviewed for a nanny job and didn't end up getting it because they didn't want someone with a child. I was really bummed about it and didn't know how we were going to make ends meet. As it turns out, the owner of the dance studio isn't teaching this year, and another teacher left for law school. I am so excited to start teaching again next week. :) I have 17 classes! I'm also working in the office and the owner is letting me bring M! SO stinkin' excited I can't believe it! Seriously, this is the most amazing job. I never thought I would be able to make it work so that I could teach dance and pay bills!
M got a Kohl's gift card for his birthday and I still hadn't used it. I have been really wanting to get a water play table for him and have been scouring craigslist. I had a "duh!" moment and checked kohls.com and they sell water tables! Wa-la! Great present for M, and it will be nice to have some cool fun in the HOT months of August and September. I have a yummy dinner planned tonight of Roasted chicken and potatoes. Tomorrow B and I plan to clean our garage and then have Mike and Emily over for a pizza party!

Happy Tuesday!

Micah and I made the TREK out to a Hobby Lobby! It was glorious!



Here are some of the goodies I got. I love the cute BOYISH fabric they had!


I made this fun pirate hooded towel for Micah. He's not a very big fan of hoods.


I also made this canvas for his room. It's 11x14 and going to look great in the new goldfish room! I got the idea from www.joyshope.com



On Saturday we went to the melting pot for my birthday! B surprised me with balloons, chocolate, and flowers when I got there! It was seriously delicious!! The melting Pot is my favorite restaurant to celebrate at... but it has to be a big occasion!


It was 106 on saturday at 6pm! Crazy summer!
