The story of why I walked out of panera.

I was a having a day. Nothing was going as I had planned, and I was tired and hungry and grumpy.

I had to go get blood work done and after giving 17 vials of blood and not getting the pee jug I needed because the lab was dumb, I called Brian and asked him to order panera so that I could pick it up on the way home. He did and texted me that it would take about 30 minutes.

I start my car and head from the lab (17 vials of blood lighter) to panera. I figure I can grab a drink and wait inside until my food is ready, no big deal. I waited patiently in line and when it was my turn the conversation went like this:

Me: I'm here for a to-go order that was called in. I'd like to also add a drink to that.
Girl: uh, lindsay? Didn't you call that in, like, 8 minutes ago?
Me: I still need to pay for the food, don't I?
Girl: (under her breath) I told you it would take 30 minutes.

AND THEN SHE ROLLED HER EYES AT ME.

Me: cancel it. I will be eating somewhere else.

And I walked out.
