What a great day it has been! Micah opened lots of presents because our families spoil him rotten! I only wish we could do the same for them too!

Some gems from work.

I have been working for a wedding photographer making phone calls and seeing if brides need photographers. There have definitely been some interesting conversations. Here are some gems from this evenings work:

1. Answering machine in spanish.

2. a person is renewing their vows.

 After 6 years of marriage. 

NO photographer needed, but she bought a dress.

3. " No i don't need a photographer, it's a small wedding. It's my 4th and his 3rd."

4. this was an answering machine: "Hi you have reached X. Please leave a message and have a blessed day filled with miracles. Blessings and Miracles to you and may angels watch over you always." (As i read this it's not as funny as it was on the answering machine. Imagine lots of over-dramatic tones of voice. It will help my cause.)

Shoe find!

so, i found a very cute alternative to $30 robeez. They are $15 bugaloos. (check them out at www.bugalookids.com)
It is getting VERY cold here in NC, like, 30 degrees when i'm driving home at 1am, with highs of 45 degrees during the day. Micah has learned how to kick off his socks, so that wasn't working for us and his crab robeez are too summery... enter bugaloos! I am so excited!

Christmas this year.

B and I have decided that we are going to do three presents for Micah this year. One from Daddy, one from Mommy, and one from Santa. We figure the grandparents will be getting him a present and its not like he can open them anyway!

Brian is thinking about legos and I am thinking about making/having someone on etsy make this:

Santa is deciding between a wagon or a PBK anywhere chair. The inserts are on ebay for super cheap and they fit the pbk covers! Genius!

I did find a loophole to this great plan though... stocking stuffers! ;)

My foray into cloth diapering!

I have decided to try cloth diapering! It's not quite what you are thinking, I'm sure! 1. they are super cute! 2. They "breathe" better than disposable diapers, so there is less chance of a diaper rash. 3. They are more environmentally friendly. A load of laundry costs as much as flushing the toilet a few extra times a day, whereas a disposable diaper takes 500 years to break down! 4. There are really fun accessories for it! Like my cute wet bag that i'll use once I have a few more. and my awesome smelling crunchy clean detergent! Check it out at www.crunchyclean.com I have tried monkey farts, buttercream cupcake, pink sugar, baby bee, and sugar cookie, and I LOVE them all! 5. Did I mention how cute they are?! 6 month stats!

Well, Micah's 6 month well child visit turned into a sick visit. Poor guy!
Good news first: Micah is on the charts! He is in the 10th percentile for all 6month olds at 15lbs30z, and he is in the fifth percentil for all 6month olds at 24inches!


Bad news: He is super sick. he has a cough, and has to do some nebulizer treatments.

great night!

After teaching dance today B and bubba met me at the studio and we decided to try the new pizza parlor in downtown Apex. It was great! To make it even better one of the girls from my ballet class was there with  her family! It was a really nice "community" moment for me. It may be taking us a while to do so, but we are building a home and establishing roots.

I love it!

What a day!

Wow! I have been busy!

Got my oil changed and tires rotated, bought a few hallowen decorations at JoAnn's (60% off!!!), spray painted side tables and put them in, dyed the last part of my couch, painted a wall, decorated with the halloween decorations, and now I'm off to work!

Praise Jesus!

Gas is down to $3.49.

That is $.40 lower than it was last week! Thus saving me approximately $6.80 every week.

My new want.

I have decided that I REALLY want a baby jogger. The trail that Micah and I have been walking on is:

a) Not all paved.

b) has cracked pavement.

also, It is starting to get cold . I need a stroller that I can attach a footmuff to because the blanket keeps falling out no matter how hard I try to tuck it/wrap it. 

Here is the one I have found that I LOVe and it comes with a footmuff. The bumbleride indie in Seagrass. There are cheaper ones, but when you add the cost of a footmuff to them it is the same price. I figure if I save my $ from the dance studio, and perhaps get some for x-mas I can get it.

Delayed gratification is so NOT my favorite thing.
