Ish my wife says...

I told Brian he should probably start a twitter with our random conversations. Here are some gems from this weekend:

Brian: I love looking at they skyline of downtown Raleigh.

Lindsay: oh yeah? It's so much smaller than downtown LA's skyline!

Brian: yeah, it looks like downtown LA sneezed and this is the boogie that came out.

Big Girl Grayson

APA had a dress rehearsal this weekend and Gray and I made an appearance. Gray wore her APA dress that I made her. :)

She got to hang out with big girl Grayson, her namesake, and Alyssa, one of my favorite babysitters.

Helmet head

We have had quite a week here in the wood household!

At gray's 4 month appt last week the dr noted that the flat spot on her head was getting worse and she still has tightness in her neck. We got a referral to a head evaluator and we went. Her head is three standard deviations away from where it should be and so they said she needed a helmet. Insurance wouldn't cover it because it is categorized as "durable medical equipment" and it was going to be $2350.

I looked through the packet of information they gave me and died laughing when I found the story book entitled "my brother has a crooked head"
Ha!! It goes on to talk about a little boy that "eats his dinner and goes to bed. And he has a crooked head." and "now he doesn't have a crooked head, the STARband fixed it, just like the dr. Said."
Oh, geez, it was hilarious. While running around the dance studio showing this book off, the dance moms offered to rhinestone grays helmet. :)

As it turns out, the pediatrician thought she was sending us too a physical therapist, not an orthotist! Ha! So we are holding off on the helmet until we try some physical therapy first.

Micah-ism

Scene: sandwich shop drive thru.

Micah: what did that girl say?
Me: she said pull up, please.
Micah: like my undies?

Nursing!

I've been able to nurse Gray for 4 months. While it has been nothing like I thought it would be, I am so proud that I've stuck it out this long! My goal is 6 months, and we'll see if that happens. I wish that I could have been able to do it exclusively, but that's not what my body had in mind. :) Micah took this picture of me nursing and I just love it!

4 months!

Grayson is 4 months old today! She loves to coo and smile and be in motion! She loves riding in the car, swinging in her swing, and being rocked. I love her chunky kissable cheeks! She will tolerate bows and hats (woohoo!) and is sleeping 6 hours in a row! I love this girl!

Christmas!

We snoozed in on Christmas morning and finally woke Micah up around 11 to open presents!

Christmas Eve

So, I'm going to play a little catch up here!
This is Christmas Eve. We had a birthday party for Jesus and made cupcakes. Micah took care of blowing out the candle. ;)
