What do you want for Christmas?

Most of the stuff I want for Christmas is for Micah. Ha! I guess that's what happens when you're a mommy. There are a few things I would love:
Pink Hunter rain boots.
Signature tap shoes.
Actually, new ballet and jazz shoes would be nice too.
Some new clothes would be nice too!

micah and i stopped by church to pick up tickets for the event brian and i are taking our youth group to this weekend. micah thoroughly inspected Pastor Fred's office and was dead set on bringing a book of the apostles home with us. Pastor Fred asked if micah liked coins and i said "sure..." pastor fred traded micah two quarters for his book of the apostles and micah says "mmmm, money!"

You probably should have been there

These are some funny happenings of the day. You probably should have been there to make them funny, but whatevs.

While on a walk today Micah saw a neighbor's cat. He took off running towards it yelling, "COME HERE KITTY!"

bahaha. It was hilarious.

While our 8lb mini dachshund Jack was inside today Micah decided to chase him around the house. Yelling, "I'm coming Jack-Jack!" Micah also decided to "yee-haw" him while he was eating. Poor puppy! ha!

While I was making dinner and Brian was setting the table Micah decided to create a new masterpiece on a wall. He announced it's finish with a grand," Wook Dada! Pretty colors!"

A little TMI ahead.

So, when I was 19 and had BAD strep throat 6 times in 6 months my doctor took my tonsils out. It was awful and involved much vicodin, but the worst part is I think they cut off a little bit too much. Whenever I take a gulp of water it will come out my nose. Seriously. It Sucks. and it burns. and it's a little weird.

Gray.

Look at this picture very closely and you will see a long white line... It's a LONG gray hair!! What the heck?! I have serious patches of gray hair and i'm not a fan. Perhaps this lack of sleep is turning me gray!

waldorf dolls is a hope-dashing obsession to have. i have been trying to get m one for christmas and missing out for about 6 weeks now! so frustrating!

when i blog with my phone there are no capitals.

i'm exhausted. i need more sleep than i am getting. i actually feel nauseated and am having heart palpitations because i am so tired. micah needs more sleep. he his crabby and has dark circles under his eyes. it's 11:30pm and he's still awake.

i can only plan two dinners at a time. i never "feel like" eating what i planned if i plan for more than that. we had great dinners the last two nights. thus, i don't have a plan for tomorrow. fortunately i teach until 8:45 so b will be on dinner duty.

i miss gluten. i'd really like an eggroll.

the mountain of laundry in my house is ridiculous. im too tired to deal with it.

i would like a moment to sew, decorate our home, or excercise, but lately when i have a free moment i just nap.

fortunately, i have a sweet hubby, healthy kid, awesome job, supportive family, AND a roof over my head. so, i have much to be thankful for, but today i'm tired.

The I Word

Intern.

I really dislike this word. I have been the intern at my church for two years now and while i love what i do i don't like that i have zero authority. i have planned a youth event and it's all set, but now other people are suggesting different ways to do it. while i appreciate the suggestions, if they wanted to plan it their way they could have... it's just frustrating that these ideas are coming in after i have already planned the whole thing. i am just annoyed, a little frustrated, and sad that our youth pastor left today. i am really hoping for a quick and easy transition once we find our awesome new youth leader.

Consignment Sales!

I have had the opportunity to hit up a few consignment sales over the summer and find some great deals! These jammies were $2 and the bear slippers were $3 and they match his Brannan bear from Noni! Isn't he cute when he is snuggly?

Preschool!

Micah started Preschool today! He has 5 other kids in his class and I am so excited for him! He needs to work on sharing and listening to directions and following rules. I am so glad that this will be a low pressure environment for him to do all of that in! 8:30am is an early morning for us... so excuse the breakfast bar on the run!

Hardest Project Ever!

This whole potty training thing is seriously difficult! Micah likes going on the potty on occasion, but mostly he is content to just come and tell me when I need to "chandge di-purr mama!" He is also quite fond of his Elmo diapers. ugh! I wish there was, like, a potty training camp that I could send him away too... Isn't that what grandmas are for? Just kidding! Maybe he's just not ready, but how do you know when a kid is ready? Anyway, he looks so cute on the potty... Such a big boy!

Exhaustion!

wow! i'm tired! My child has been having some crazy sleep patterns lately. He has been sleeping through the night for over a year and now he suddenly decides to act like a newborn again! yesterday he decided to fall asleep at 4:30pm and slept until 7:30. thus, royally screwing up his bedtime of 8:30. around 10:30 we put him to bed and he falls asleep. he then wakes up at 1:30 and parties until 3. we put him back in his bed and he sleeps for awhile and then climbs into our bed (to sleep sideways across the length of MY pillow) at 4:30. we then all uncomfortably "sleep" until 10am. thank goodness it's saturday! i think his ear tube is falling out and he's getting some teeth in, so that can all be very uncomfortable, but this is quite tiring!

Silly

Micah's new favorite word is "Silly" although he pronounces it "sil-wee." It is so cute to hear him describe things as "silwee." Apparently, we have "silwee puppies" and when he is watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse he will laugh and say "silwee Mickey." I LOVE it! It is so fun to see his personality come out. He sure is a "silwee Micah."

Warning! Grossness ahead!

So, there was a scheduling mix up and with three dance teachers out of town we were a little short staffed. This led to me teaching 10 classes today and the conclusion that I need new dance shoes. ASAP. I tried to go get some a few weeks ago, but micah had a meltdown (Shocker!) in the store and it didn't happen. Don't say I didn't warn you, but this is what my feet look like by the end of the night
