we're good!

I've been mia from the blog this week. i think life just got in the way! i got sick again last weekend and had to lay low until wednesday. we went to a birthday party for micah's friend yesterday and i made her a t-shirt.

i went to the mall yesterday with emily and her mother in law and sister in law. i went into the mall really wanting to get an easter outfit for micah. i had a coupon for gymboree and i have been eyeing a particular sweater there for a few weeks. i was in luck! the sweater was on sale as well, so i was able to get a $25 sweater for $15. north carolina's weather is so crazy, and so i held off on the pants that i liked too because i don't know what the weather will be like on easter.

i also splurged and got myself some new work clothes! i generally wear sweats or yoga pants and a t-shirt to work (i'm a dance teacher.) express has a really cute active wear line and they were on sale and emily's mother in law traded me an express coupon she had for an extra gymboree coupon i had, so they were very reasonable. i am so excited to look put together at dance now too! the capris i got are black with a pink tie-dye waistband and i got a pink sweater/cover up to go with it. i plan on wearing a white tank top with it all and i'm so excited!

it's so funny to me how my shopping habits have changed. i used to think nothing of blowing $50 on make-up, now i think of shopping for me at all, as opposed to necesseties for the house or micah, as such a special treat! i also went into sephora because i really want some lilac colored nail polish. i had already splurged on my new dance clothes, so i decided not to buy it. i'm growing up! :)
