So, I have had my heart set on building this play kitchen from Ana-white.com for years now, but life got in the way. This year was finally the year! With A LOT of my dad's help we were able to finish it! This project really stretched my tenacity and perseverance. I'm not one much for finishing projects that take longer than about 2 hours, and this project took about 10x that! It also helped that we could use a nail gun. 😉
Papa Frank funded the majority of this project. Thanks dad!
Cost breakdown:
Wood: scraps from my dad's stash
Faucet: $21
Plexiglass: $9
Bowl for sink: $2
Paint color one: $3
Paint color two: $13
Trivet for oven: $8
Curtain rod: $8
Fabric for curtain rod: $4
Hinges for oven: $6
Total: $74
It's still cheaper than the one at Ikea! I also got melissa and doug wood play food for a steal too! Two sets at tj maxx for $15 each, and another at Joann's with a 50% off coupon for $10! Completed with play pots and pans from ikea and we're all set!
